What classes should I pick?

How I decided

My suggestion is to select classes based on these elements:

a) Follow your interests. If there are any subjects that you enjoy, that will make their studying more appealing.

b) Explore possible career paths. If you have not decided on a future college major or career, some of the AS and A level classes offer a great opportunity to learn about fields that you are considering

c) Add rigor to your academic coursework. Colleges which have a holistic approach for student admissions, and the most selective schools use that criterion, consider rigor of academic coursework as one of the elements to evaluate a candidate

These are some of the classes I picked and why I took them:

  • AICE Spanish A Level & AICE Spanish AS Level: my family is Hispanic but my Spanish needed some improvement
  • AICE Psychology AS Level: I was considering a major in psychology which I ended up pursuing
  • AICE English Language A Level:  taking the highest level of English Language showed academic rigor in my college applications
