What We Do

TUTORING

AICE graduates and students can volunteer to tutor students. Tutors have recently taken AS & A level classes and can offer their assistance with a unique and friendly perspective. The AICE curriculum is demanding but can be worthwhile if the student has the right support to alleviate the challenge.

Tutors help students with class-specific subjects, AS & A level papers and exams. Tutors can clarify content; teach strategies and tips to take exams, write papers and make presentations; and go over examples of previous exams.

(1 volunteer/community hour per half hour of tutoring)

MENTORING

AICE graduates and senior high school students can volunteer to mentor students. Mentors can offer guidance and advice for course selection, college applications and other matters that AICE students face in high school with a unique and friendly perspective. The AICE curriculum is demanding but can be worthwhile if the student has the right support to alleviate the challenge.

Mentors offer advice for students to make the most of their AICE experience. Mentors can assist with academic organization, time management, health prioritization, and balance of personal life and school responsibilities.

Tutor: C or higher grade in the corresponding subject
Mentor: C or higher grade in at least 6 AS or A level classes

Subject specific: C or higher grade in the corresponding subject
